Our wedding day, 19 years ago today!   We are quickly coming up on that time when we've been married longer than not.   As I think back on this day and the years in between I am just amazed at all that we've been through together. Three years + a few months of Jerry working on a Masters degree Making some big life decisions that took us on a journey of living in SIX European countries (numerous others visited) Learning to speak Russian, a bit of Czech, then a bit of Spanish.  He is definitely the more gifted one in this area. Six years of infertility Three kids in 8 months through adoption and twin birth after IVF.  ALL in another country, including a scary birth.  Thank the Lord we were all ok!  Life was a blur those first couple of years!!  Ha! It's been wild, crazy, fun, exciting, scary and frustrating at times, but we've done it all together! I'm not the mushy type to gush over my hubby.  Just not my personality.  So I'll say "Love you, man!!" Here's to many more!!

I can't say that we are an extremely romantic couple or make big plans for something like Valentine's Day.

We don't do diamonds or flowers,

Or even a card, for that matter.

We do, however, take the time to at least spend a quick meal together.

That's important!!

We let the kids eat at school today and we went to one of our new favorite restaurants.

Each night there was a gift waiting for us on our turned down bed.  The first night was a picnic blanket. 




As I mentioned before the group was limited to 8 couples.  There was also a returning couple.  One that had attended before and came back to help the leaders, so there were 10 couples total.  Because it was a small group, we grew close in those few days.  In our free time we got to go on a horse drawn carriage.  We rode with Steve & Susan and had a great time with them!!

 We saw a bear about halfway up the mountain on our ride!!  What a treat and not seen often!!
 We also used our free time to hike around the property.  My favorite spot had to be Dorothy Falls.  We had to hike through a narrow canyon, crossing the little river over rocks and tree limbs about 15 times!!  It was well worth it once we reached the falls!!
