Brighton, Seaside

Did I mention that we love the beach?!  Why yes, we do!!
The temps were in the 60s, but it didn't stop our guys from dipping their toes in the water!!
They could spend hours playing in the sand!
Our friends, Chad & Karis came down our first day in Brighton to spend the day with us.
We had a great time with them!
Our Brighton Babies!
Ice Cream at Scoop & Crumb
Having an intense conversation.
Brighton Pier

Karis was fearful walking on these board slats, but she made it down the pier and back.
I was proud of her.

The Brighton Pier is like walking into a carnival!  There are all kinds of food, games & rides.

View from the pier.

Back to the water they go!

I love this photo & filter even though Brennan is a bit blurred.
Lunch at an American 50s restaurant.
Ahhhh, the red, white & blue

A few more sites around Brighton....

And lastly, our cottage.

The kids thought the mail slot was the coolest thing!
And our trip was complete with a snack stop at Krispie Kreme!!
Hope you enjoyed seeing a bit of Brighton!
I think we'll be going back here, for sure!

Streets, Lanes & Twittens

We had to take a trip out of Austria again.  We headed to England, only this time we took a train south of London to Brighton for the first part of our week long trip.

Our whole family loves the sea!  So, to the sea we went!  Brighton is a charming and happening little city by the English seaside.  It was Easter break so the city was crowded.  It's small enough that you can walk the downtown area with ease.
Brighton has an area simply called "The Lanes."  Filled with quaint shops and restaurants.
Street performing
Scoops & Crumbs Ice Cream Shop
This clothing shop had the coolest window display, filled with old sewing machines!
 Bright and beautiful buildings.

Sunnies!
I just LOVED the flower shops!

 Interesting bike!

The "twitten" where our cottage was located.  A twitten is a walking street.
Cottage on the twitten, Daphne has a cute little cottage!
Fizziwigg's Candy Shop, the cutest candy shop I have ever seen!
Tina's Place!!

The nicest looking Pizza Express.
I took this picture for my dad, the retired locksmith.  Dad, if you were from England, you would work in an Ironmongery!

Next post, the seaside!

Vienna Advertising at it's Best

I've had a long absence from the blog.  There has been so much going on!  Travels, birthday bashes, Easter markets!
In the mean time, let me leave you with a little taste of Austrian Advertising!
Yes, we have seen these ALL over!  I'm glad the city is trying to get the word out to clean up after your dog, but wow!

Until next time!
