Karis' class has the chance to earn points for making projects centered around topics they are learning. As you've probably seen from all my photos recently, Remembrance Day is widely celebrated in England and red poppies can be seen on lapels everywhere.
Karis wanted to make her own red poppy, so we took to Pinterest.
This is such a simple craft that can be whipped up in minutes.
I love t-shirt crafts and after looking at a few photos, we came up with our own t-shirt poppy.
As you can see from the photos above we found various things around the house to create five circles in varying sizes. Then used fabric glue, a black button, a needle and black thread to put it all together.
There you have the most simple red poppy to wear for your next Remembrance or Veteran's Day. It's also perfect for a sweet little embellishment for anything that needs a pop of color.
Do you like crafting?
That turned out great, and it's a very timely craft project, for sure1
