Upward

The month of January has been filled with Upward practice and games.  Are you familiar with it?  If not they have a great website!  In short, they are a Christian sports league for kids teaching the game(s) along with teaching the kids verses and important virtues of the Bible.  I love it!

I was so excited to learn that we'd be here for most of the Upward season.  We're going to miss a few games, but it was still worth it to have the kids participate.

Reegan chose to be a cheerleader.

Reegan is enjoying it!  Having cheered in highschool for 3 years, I found my self wanting my daughter to do the moves perfectly.  Control freak, eh?!  Ha!  Luckily her coaches are not that way and are very encouraging.  And the girls are actually doing great!!  But, I've had to refrain from trying to do extra practices at home!  Ha!!  She is only 6!!

Brennan and Karis are playing basketball. 

It is the cutest thing watching this age group play.  Neither Karis or Brennan are very aggressive to get the ball or play defense.  They're still working on it, having fun in the process as well as learning from the Bible.

Brennan's coach is a fun guy, complete with a colored mohawk!  He is so sweet to these kids and I thought this shot was precious!!
