Farm Shops are something I have come to love in this country. Not all are created equal, of course, however I would stop at every one I see if I could. Usually a shop, cafe and sometimes an array of other things. Depending on the time of year, there might also be activities going on.
A friend recently set up a get together at a farm shop near Reigate in Surrey.
From the time I drove up to Fanny's Farm Shop I was taken in by all the colors, the cute signs and England flag bunting everywhere!
Eccentric bay would have been the most appropriate for me, but it was taken. I'm not yet to the Gassy Grandma stage, so I chose the Dizzy Blond parking bay (hee hee)!
There was so much to take in!
If you're lucky you might be welcomed by this little guy.
These little ones too, maybe!
Don't forget to visit Burt & Ernie!
So much to see!
I had to walk through a few times to catch everything!
Don't forget about the loo.
Open only 2 times or year?
We had The Pudding Room booked for our tea time.
After our cream tea we had a wander through the shop.
Do you enjoy farm shops?
I think I'll make a point to find some more!
Come for a visit and I'll take you to Franny's Farm!
How incredibly fun!
ReplyDeleteum. this is the most adorable thing in life. i've never heard of farm shops before! fanny..go girl! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a farm shop! What exactly is it? It sort of reminds me of an antique store. Except this one has chickens... :)
ReplyDeleteI know! So fun!!
ReplyDeleteThis particular one just happened to have the grounds all decorated in antique things. They did have a little gift shop and a china shop, which I want to go back and peruse through. Farm shops typically sell all kinds of fruit and veg, bread mixes, frozen goods, jams, etc and a cafe. Some serve only desserts, others have lunch items as well. They are so fun!! I found this farm shop in London, http://www.chegworthvalley.com/ Looks like a smaller version without the cafe, but might give you a little experience. Or, you just need to come south and I'll take you to this one. They had quite a few chickens, which I realized I did not get a picture of!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a farm shop. Looks fun though!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to go here on my next visit! So fun. I love the sign about tea being the fix-it for every possible scenario. SO English!! :)
ReplyDeleteI noticed the chickens on the map of the farm shop! That would have been my first stop! :) This place really does look neat - very eclectic! I'll give the one you recommended a go, but if I ever make it your way again you can take me to one of the really good ones! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll take ya! When ya comin'?!
ReplyDeleteOh you London city people!! Really missing out! ;)
