My Cultural Funny

I had to share my funny with you.  I had Jerry buy me some Half & Half at the store a couple of days ago.  I went to use it this morning and was frustrated to see that the date was already passed.  I couldn’t believe that Walmart would still have it on the shelf when the use by date was over a week ago!!  As I got it out again later this morning I told Jerry about it.  I said “See the date was February 4.”  He then correct me that it was good until April 4.  You see, in Europe they do their dates dd/mm/yy.  I was reading it the European way!!!  So it’s actually good for another 2 months!!  Oh how my brain is so fixed on the European way now!!  Ha!
